I usually tell them I will insert one needle only and see how they feel, and they can decide if they want to proceed. And in my many years of practice, I have never seen anyone walk away. In fact, patients are surprised how relaxed they feel. Of course the dimmed light, the soft music and the heating lamp may contribute to this. Give it a try, you won't regret it.
